PRETORIA, Tuesday 30 June 2026 — President Cyril Ramaphosa announced changes to the National Executive following consultations with the Democratic Alliance, altering several of the party’s positions in the Government of National Unity.
Ramaphosa appointed Willem Aucamp as Minister of Agriculture and David Maynier as Minister of Forestry, Fisheries and the Environment. John Steenhuisen was appointed Deputy Minister of Trade, Industry and Competition.
Alexandra Abrahams was appointed Deputy Minister of Electricity and Energy, Jack Bloom Deputy Minister of Water and Sanitation and Yusuf Cassim Deputy Minister of Higher Education.
Ramaphosa also appointed ANC MP Dina Pule as Minister of Social Development, filling the vacancy created by the dismissal of Sisisi Tolashe in May.
